What’s the difference between a value and a priority? Why Agcor Steel’s core value is Customer Service

Priority: Something of importance that changes due to outside influences and demands.
Value: A core principle that an outside influence or demand is unable to change.

For example, our morning coffee is a priority, but if stopping to get a cup made you late to work you would probably skip it. On the other hand if getting a shower would make you late for work you would probably still get a shower because good hygiene is a value.
At Agcor one our highest values is customer service. No matter what we have to do on our end we are going to ensure that every job is completed in a timely fashion and that the materials meet or exceed expectations. If customer service was only a priority that means it would be only be on a case by case basis rather than a core principle of our company culture.
